EARLY CHILDHOOD RELIGIOUS FORMATION
is a structured religious educational program for children in the Parish who will be 2 by October 1st through 6 years, provided the child is not entering 1st grade in the fall. The program is designed to give young children an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate God/Jesus, one another and the world around them. Each week there is an age appropriated lesson for each of the classes. As a way to reinforce and complement the lesson the children participate in group activities, Bible stories, craft projects, learning prayers, parties/celebrations and a variety of other activities. Classes are held in the Education/Formation Building on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:45.

Catechists (Teachers) age 18 and up direct the lessons following a complete teachers manual and syllabus. Classroom Aides (Children who have been Confirmed - Adults) help the catechists to teach by taking attendance, handing out materials and other activities as needed. Catechists and Classroom Aides are always in demand. No previous experience is required. Training sessions and workshops are held for volunteers and all materials are provided.

EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVISORY TEAM advises and assists the Religious Coordinator in program evaluation and planning. Members consist of the Religious Coordinator and representatives interested in the religious formation of children ages two-year-old through Kindergarten. The team assists the Religious Coordinator with activities such as: program content evaluation, budget preparation, parent recruitment, and representation on the Parish Religious Formation Committee.
